The Spotlight is on you.

Participants read and review books/excerpts. A post-mortem or dissection of every part of the story, writing style, genre, development of characters and so on.

An exercise of this sort helps us understand different perspectives and with deeper introspection, realising what you perceive and how different it may be from what the writer originally may have wanted to convey. Apart from perspectives of different people, it also throws light on how our own opinions may change over time and between different stages of the book. Reviewing a book in many ways gives you an opportunity to enter the universe, Utopian or Dystopian, of the book and recreate and connect with the imagination of the author.

Debating has always been an age old tradition and passion of every speaker, opinionist and human.

We at LDC bring these discussion/arguments that we have with our friends, families etc onto a controlled platform governed by proper rules and regulations in the form of formal and informal debates.

So, pull up your socks, clear your throat and

Just a minute caters to the excessively long, elaborate speakers who just don’t know when to stop.

The event is an exhilarating competition of time. Testing which participant can speak about the most random topic given on spot, without hesitation, repetition and getting caught by the other contestants.

LDC encourages anyone with a penchant for writing to practice their craft and put their stories in front of the eyes of as many people as possible.

In doing so, we organise online-story writing competitions giving writers the experience and a chance to have their work reviewed by our editors and possibly published on our esteemed blog.

Spelling - The prerequisite to being a grammar nazi.

A spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. Lightening and Lightning, Ingenious and Ingenuous, Desert and Dessert, Compliment and Complement, Stationary and Stationery, Affect and Effect So many permutations as to how the letters of the English language can be placed together and so many different meanings for words that sound almost exactly the same.

A spell bee is so much more than what it looks like. In many ways, it’s a puzzle where the letters are pieces.

An epidemic known to cause students to stay up late researching and having way too much fun that is considered normal doing so.

A Model United Nation Conference is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agendas. Through this innovative real-life simulation of the United Nations, the participants of are assured of gaining valuable insights into the dynamics of international relations.

During the Summit, students will learn the importance of balancing national interests of various countries with the needs of the international community, while also learning about the power and limitations of international negotiations.presented with their assignments in advance, along with a topic or topics that their committee will discuss.
